Bitmain's Twitter announcement said, “#BITMAIN is offering an #ANTMINER S19 Pro special discount for only $19/T! For bulk orders, please contact BITMAIN sales representative directly. Customers who have already purchased S19 Pro will be eligible for coupons.”

One of the largest Bitcoin mining rig makers, Bitmain, has announced its plans to sell the Antminer S19 Pro mining rigs at a discounted rate.

Bitmain made this decision after considering miners' struggles and difficulties amidst the market decline. Another reason was to support miners in the crypto economy’s market capitalization, roughly around $927.21 billion.

The mining rig manufacturer made this known in a Twitter post, saying,

“#BITMAIN is offering an #ANTMINER S19 Pro special discount for only $19/T! For bulk orders, please contact BITMAIN sales representative directly. Customers who have already purchased S19 Pro will be eligible for coupons.”

Bitmain stated that the price of an Antminer S19 Pro 100 terahash (TH) model would drop to $19/TH.  This price drop is about 30% below the market price in a record by Luxor technologies.

With the price reduction on Antminer S19 Professional mining rigs, the 100 terahash per second machine will be sold at $19 per terahash or $1900 per unit.

This makes the Antminer mining rigs 80% cheaper than they were 5 months ago.  As of March, a buyer could purchase the mining rig at $104TH/s or $9,984 per unit. The 100 TH/s S19 barely produces a hash rate compared to the S19j Pro, yet it is 80% cheaper.

Although Bitmain specified the actual discount, only about 200 machines would be bought with the discount.

An analysis made by Lauren Lin of Luxor’s ASIC trading desk reveals that bulk buyers will likely buy the Antminer S19 XP model at $45/TH or more.
