According to Celsius’ Twitter post, “Our goal is to provide account holders with additional time to file any proofs of claim.”
Bankrupt crypto lender Celsius will file a motion to further extend the deadline for users to submit their claims until February.
Earlier in November, Celsius received Court approval to set January 3, 2023, as the bar date for customers to file claims. The bankrupt lender now seeks to delay this deadline by another month.
Celsius noted that the hearing for this motion is scheduled for January 10. The lender added the bar date will be delayed until the court hearing.
Meanwhile, Celsius’ clients have shown interest in selling their claims at a loss. As per the report by WSJ, clients with over $100M in claims are seeking to sell them via Cherokee Acquisition to avoid dealing with a drawn-out bankruptcy procedure.
